Cover your bread 'cause the fungi's in town

Look out for these dung residing herbivore snacks
They could come back to haunt you if you throw them aside
No matter what this fungi phyla will come out alive
And chytridiomycota is almost the same
Except theyre smaller, less exciting, and really just pretty lame
And they live in the water just like a fish or sea lion
You'll find the cell wall of Chytrids is made completely of chitin, no lyin'
1000 species of these small little fellas
Is a pretty large amount for having tiny flagella
To move around and get down except theres no need for that
With motile spores they could just chill and relax...

Largest fungi phyla is the ascomycota
With over 60000 species (international quota)
They're so important to our lives that we have pigs on a leash
Tryin to sniff out all the truffles hidden under the trees
And then there's yeast and pennicillin
Made of fungi that's lasted
For many years because the non motile spores in the ascus
And being heterotrophic they eat whatever is there
From any dead organic molecules like flowers and pears
And then basidiomycota have basidiospores
Under external rounded tops giving protection outdoors
Such as the caps on top of mushrooms people eat all the time
When they're sauteed or new and fresh, and sometimes, they're even fried
You'd be surprised how many people actually grow them inside
And make a profit off of illegal mushshrooms of psilocybe
which is the genus that hallucinogens are classified
As well as polypores and puffballs even jelly fungi...
